A wedding in April.

Hi everyone

Yes I know its been an absolute age since I posted anything here.  SO much has happened.  Hubby got gastro interitus really bad.  I had to call the abulance twice as he fainted and went into a mini coma for about a minute and a half with it.  Thankfully he is over that now, though still a bit week.

Then very sadly and suddenly my father in law passed away.  He had had a bad cold and cough and when the doctor came he said that he should be in hospital but he was stubborn and wouldnt go.  Then his heart gave out.  Dear Richard, we shall miss you
He is the 3rd from left in the photo below
(this was my wedding day June 2010)

Then I had another suspected heart attack and spent 5 days in hospital.  Fortunately it wasnt a heart attack but a very bad virus.  I am over that now and things have quietened down some.

Happier times are to follow and the start of those were my hubby's niece's wedding Kelly Twycross to Sub Leitenant Matt Berridge.  We lucked out with the weather and a fabulous day was had by everyone.  Kelly looked so beautiful and Matt very handsome in his uniform.

So as the sun is finally shining again today, although windy.  A decent summer seems almost hopeful.
I have been making things inbetween joining in a lot of swaps.  I love swapping with people and seeing everyones creations.  I have also signed up to an online course starting in June with River Garden Studio based on Nature Journalling.
I cant wait to take part on this.  It sounds right up my street.

Name that Tune

Hi everyone

Here is my project for our design team The game.  Its Name that tune.  As a child I used to love watching name that tune on the t.v.  So this project brought back a few memories for me which was good.  I have done a card for the challenge.

To make the card I used a keiser craft paperline I cant remember the name though.  I tore little pieces up and layered it over some lace.  Cut a square and drew a musical note which I livened up with some bling.  I added a cameo, an angel charm 3 swallow charms and some mesh bling.  I had fun making this card and I am really pleased with the way it came out.

Please come over to the blog and join in our challenges you can win a prize and make some new friends and have fun along the way.  We need more players and we all want to see your creativity so come on over and play.

YEA!!

The image below is the beautiful image from June of an old fashioned car

To make this card I used Eyelet lace I am roses flowers a dragonfly charm a stick pin I made.  A focal bead a glass flower, a pearl flower and a Tim Holtz ticket with Live on it.  Blue and yellow lace.

Dont forget we are always looking for entrents to play along with us.  You can even win a prize if you are lucky.

What have I been up too?

Hi everyone

Well what have I been up to lately?  Its been a mixed bag of events for us.  We had a surprise birthday party up by where I used to live and we took the caravan and made a weekend of it.  It was good fun seeing people we hadnt seen in a while and catching up.

It was Steve's birthday he didn't know a thing about the party it was a good night.

Some close friends of ours got married.  Glen is Scottish so he wore his clan tartan kilt outfit and his best man wore the blackwatch kilt outfit.  Mandy looked so beautiful.  it was indeed a day of oddities though.  They had a beautiful blessing in Glens local area which we helped set up and drive people up as it was up a big hill.

then on the way to reception we had the bikes involved Rusty rode his new wife on a trike which was led by the vicar (the very vicar that married us) its a long story but they wanted our vicar to help the ceremony with their vicar.  Reverend Fionn Mckentie was up for riding Rusty own bike leading the parade in his full dog collar outfit

Something you don't see everyday hey!

then we had a bike rally and we stayed on for a week and made it our holiday.  We didn't take the bike but used the car as it was too long a journey for me sitting on the back of my hubby.  We went to see The Eden Project and the lost gardens of heligan, Polperro and Charlestown where the tall ships are.  We were lucky with the weather and had a fabulous time that was until I got a phone call saying mum was in hospital after having an epileptic fit.  She is absolutely fine now and recovered but what a drama it all was.

So we have been busy but its all been fun and I though I am nursing a bad cough and cold I am glad of the quiet of home and getting some crafting done.  Watch out for a few you tube video's coming up soon.

The Game Design Team challenge post.

Hi everyone,

Today is a dreary day, so much rain and having to stay in because of the builders (we are having a new bathroom) is tiresome.  I am soooooooooo tired and I cant reach much of my crafting space to do projects on.  Grrrrr.  Still Its time for our design team challenge over on The Game blog.  Please do join us and perhaps join in on a challenge or two.  You can even win a prize if you are lucky.  This challenge was based on the game Hide and Seek.  We had to create an ATC with a hidden compartment.  I made mine slide open so you can write on the inside.  The back was also decorated.

Hope you like it.  Meanwhile this weekend is bank holiday weekend.  I would be pleased but the weather is awful and the builders want to come bank holiday Monday.  Sigh well at least it will be worth it when its done.  That is what I keep telling myself.  It will too.  THe walk in shower will be wonderful, neither of us use the bath anymore.  I will post photos when its done.  HOpe you all have a great weekend
