Welcome

Welcome to my newest blog. What is a kimberline you ask? Well where I live in Portland, Dorset, it is a nickname given to newcomers to the Island. Yes Portland is an Island seperated from Weymouth by a causeway. Its part of the Jurassic coast and I love living here. I will be posting lots of different things I hope you enjoy visiting here. The Cold Snap

TODAYS FOG

Living in Portland Dorset UK we dont very often get snow. The closest we came to it was a light dusting and the Ferry Bridge reserve was frozen. I have never seen it frozen before and it was quite a sight. We did get a lot of birds coming further inland in search of food. We had unusual numbers of Lapwing, redwing and golden plovers. It was great for birdwatching. We get a lot of migrant birds being on the coast and it was interesting to see them come further inland. It's all back to normal now. We have a heavy cloud of fog today.

Fairy Ball and fayre

Hi all

Wow what can I say thanks Kelly for putting on a wonderful fairy ball and fayre on in Dartmouth. The weather was awful but we managed to avoid a lot of it and stay fairly dry.

The entertainment was absolutely fairy tastic. Daughters of Elvin and Beck Sian were great. So were the ballet dancers and the unicorn and the hogs head was fab. Of course the unicorn was Wendy Frouds's unicorn. The talk that Brian and Wendy Froud graciously gave us on the Sunday was very inspiring and interesting. I was honoured to have been in the room with them. He and Wendy are very interesting and talented people.

mixed media workshop part one

A mixed media workshop taking you through step by step of a journal page

I hope you enjoy this free workshop I have done for you. IT comes in two parts. I am uploading part two right now. Unfortunately my voice came out a little quiet over the music.

I am busy setting up a Fairy Art Course hopefully premiering in September sometime. It will include workshops on

How to draw fairies, fairy baubles, fairy jars, how to make a fairy crown, possibly how to make a fairy house if I can set it up right.

Alongside it will be a Fairy Workshop with information on Fairies, such as
different types of fairies,
where they live,
what they do

to help with your inspiration for the art course. So you are going to get two workshops for the price of one. I hope you will join me on this fairy extravaganza that will consist of

6/7 weeks
video's and pdf files.
A free fairy reading for all of you.
