Well, I have gone and done it.  My Etsy Shop    THE PURPLE FLUTTERBY is now open.  I have dream bags and crystals on there at the moment.  I hope to be adding my new mixed media artwork and my jewellery on there also.  I will be adding new things throughout the next week or two so please keep popping back.  Thanks for looking

                                                                

Pictures of my home and Etsy Shop news

Hi everyone.  I thought you may like to see a few pictures of my home inside.  I am also in the process of setting up an Etsy shop.  IT will be called The Purple Flutterby.  A long time ago I used to sell a lot of crystals and dream pillows etc.  I have had an urge lately to do this again.  I will be adding some of my Jewellery and artwork and crystals etc.  I have been learning to listen to my instincts and it just felt that the time is right to start doing this again.  Hope you enjoy the photos

As you can see I absolutely love my crystals.  I have so many but have shown you some of my favourites.  The first picture is Mookite, I was attracted by its colours.  I am not too sure what the properties are for that one.  Then I have Clear Quartz which I think has to be my favourite along with moonstone.  Their is also Blue John, flourite, Selenite, Chiostite, honey quartz, Amethest, and my jasper, quartz and moonstone wand. 

I have a certificate in Crsytal healing and I use them in conjunction with Reiki.  For ages I have not done any healing but like I said I am being guided to to this again.  I am also using the herbs in little pillows, and as well as the ones shown I also have, Rose, Lavender, Hops, Violet and Oak Leaf. 

Witch house

Hi Everyone.  I thought you would like to see what I have been up to.  I recently purchased two put together dolls houses.  After aquiring a PHD in how to put it together along with the help of my bemused husband.  (why do you want a dolls house, were you deprived of one as a child?)  I was actually but I smiled at him and said You'll see.  So the foll,owing sunday whilst he was out waxing his harley he came back 3 hours later to find this in our living room.

He spent nearly as much time on his knees looking at it going wow look at that, (I think myabe he was deprived in his childhood, hehehehe) It will be ever changing adding furniture etc but I am quite pleased with it.  I hope you like it too.

my pagan journalling prompts

Well, here they are my prompts up to date.  I finally got round to posting them.  I have kept them simple using pencil and pen.  Something I rarely do.  But I have enjoyed the challenge I set myself though I cant promise that I wont be using colour and embellishments in future prompts.

I had such fun with these.  I cant wait to start the next prompt.  

Photo's of cheer

I just thought I would share what is flowering in my garden at the moment.  My favourite flowers are crocus and snowdrops and daffodills and we have lots at the moment.  I cant wait til the crocus open out properly.  Makes me feel so cheerful.

Does anyone know what this little shrub is?  IT was in the garden already when we brought the house.  I cant decide what it is.  Maybe one of you know?

Butterflies galore

Hi everyone.  Well I have had a wonderful weekend.  We drove up to Surry to the RHS Wisley Gardens near London to see the butterflies they have in their glass house.  The drive was nearly 3 hours but we had a lovely day and it was so worth it.  After we got over the trauma of trying to find a car parking space which took nearly twenty minutes, we decided to eat first as it was lunchtime already.  Then we walked around the gardens to the glass house and it was amazing.  IT was so big.  It was just like being in the tropics and the plants were wonderful.  SO many. 

Here are some of the highlights of what we were amazed by, even Rob was struck by the place.

I hope everyone who celebrates valentines day has a wonderful time.  Us, we are having a quiet evening in with a bottle of wine after having a peaceful day.  It was nice having Rob at home for the day as it is our first valentines day as a married couple.

You Probably Think!!!

That I havent done any art for what seems like months.  Well 4 months to be exact but I have been doing something.  Something that has been very challenging for me.  A big big mixed media mermaid that is going to hang proudly on our living room wall.  It has taken me so long because I wanted to make it as perfect as I think I could have and I have never attempted something so big before.  I took all the teachings from Suzi Blu and this is what I came up with.  There are a few pictures.  Oh and the materials that I used are

Lots of mica clear and amber mica.  The colours are amazing just right for a mermaids tale
Distress paint
silver stars
acrylic paints, lots of it
mod podge
Angelinas fibers
shells, and flowers

I wish you could truly see the colour that the mica reflects, all the little rainbows are beautiful when the light catches them. 

The funnest thring.  When I had finished this painting that night, we had a thunderstorm and it was a big one.  The inspiration of this painting was a mermaid bringing down the boat in a storm.  Now it isnt very often that we get thunder and lightening storms where we are.  I thought it fitting that we should have one the night I finally finished the painting
