Welcome

Welcome to my newest blog. What is a kimberline you ask? Well where I live in Portland, Dorset, it is a nickname given to newcomers to the Island. Yes Portland is an Island seperated from Weymouth by a causeway. Its part of the Jurassic coast and I love living here. I will be posting lots of different things I hope you enjoy visiting here. A lovely Walk

Hi everyone

today I feel really proud of myself. I did a two mile walk along weymouth Sea Front in one go. I havent been able to do that for a while with one thing or another so I am really pleased. We had some lunch first and then we decided to walk it off. It was such a lovely day. The two middle pictures show Portland and on the water two lovely swans. I couldnt get a great shot of them but you can see them.

Crafty Bottle

This is a picture of a bottle I created after taking Zinnia's art bottles workshop. It was such a great workshop you can find her on ROSES ON MY TABLE its a great network and well worth joining. I had such fun with the process of making the bottle which I found in a charity shop. I am eager to get going on some more in different colour schemes. I have a great idea for a big bottle that I have found. I am going to start on it this week. Hope to have it done by the weekend.

TODAYS FOG

Living in Portland Dorset UK we dont very often get snow. The closest we came to it was a light dusting and the Ferry Bridge reserve was frozen. I have never seen it frozen before and it was quite a sight. We did get a lot of birds coming further inland in search of food. We had unusual numbers of Lapwing, redwing and golden plovers. It was great for birdwatching. We get a lot of migrant birds being on the coast and it was interesting to see them come further inland. It's all back to normal now. We have a heavy cloud of fog today.
