Welcome

Welcome to my newest blog. What is a kimberline you ask? Well where I live in Portland, Dorset, it is a nickname given to newcomers to the Island. Yes Portland is an Island seperated from Weymouth by a causeway. Its part of the Jurassic coast and I love living here. I will be posting lots of different things I hope you enjoy visiting here. Thank you Karen

Thank you to Karen

for creating my rather gorgeous new blog design.  I am so pleased with it and she is very easy and accommodating to work with.  She only took one attempt and it was right first time.  Well worth visiting her site and sending her an email if you want something custom made.

My first white wednesday post

Well Today a little white fairy who sits upon my desk and keeps me company whilst in blog land said
"Did you know about the white wednesday blog?  Only I spied some
White Flowers at your mums house that are crying out to be posted for all to admire?"
Of course armed with my lovely new camera I went two doors down to mothers house and guess what!
The little white fairy was absolutely right, though she failed to mention about the pretty statue.  I will forgive the fairy though as it was hiding, perhaps she just didnt see it.
Of course I photographed the flowers and more besides.  Time drifted on without me realising and it wasnt til I looked up and the silver white moon told me that it was time to come on home.

art in a cafe garden

Hi all

mum and I went to have a coffee in one of our local cafe's.  Its a lovely little cafe and I have been coming to it for a few years.  As the sun was shining we went to sit in the back garden.  Now I always thought it was just the little square that we sit in and the rest of the garden was private.  But, no, I had a look round and asked permission to take a few photo's to share with everyone here and these are the results.  You can imagine the excitement and disbelief that I hadnt noticed all this was here before.  This isnt all of the photo's I will include them for another post.  Some I will include in Pink Saturday.  I will be having a giveaway of somekind.  We were both taken with the wire seagulls that were for sale but a bit beyond our price bracket at £110.00 each.

Pink Saturday

With my wedding coming up I decided to show you a couple of the evening wedding invitations I have done in Pink.  They are all different styles and colours of 1920's girls as the 1920's is the theme for our wedding.  We just love that era.  Our first dance is going to be cheek to cheek as that is our song.
hope everyone has a smashing pink saturday we are off to Bridport market to see what I can spend.  Its a glorious day I am actually wearing shorts, pink of course, for the first time this year.
yippee

Inspiration of the sea

Living by the sea is a great source of inspiration for me.  The seaview from my kitchen window is never the same twice.  Boats and ships passing by and calm and rough seas provide hours of entertainment.  We have a few fabulous coastal walks by us and the one to Portland Bill lighthouse is one of my favourites.  Last time we were there there was a anchor wreath.  It was sad to see but in the other hand it made me want to go home and create.  As a shell collector I love being by the sea though there arent many shells on our rocky jurassic shores. I have to sometimes buy them .  The seagulls are common here and this time of the year they are nesting and fighting each other for female attention.  Some of the fights I have seen are quite something.

pink Saturday bikes

Well during the weekend we had our first bike rally of the season and it was our Chapters event so we had to put on a good show.  IT went really well and we booked the whole site and filled it to its 1000 limit.  There were 400 to 500 bikes on the main parade and who said that us bikers are hard cases?

We had a blast the weekend, the weather wasnt too bad either and the bands at night were excellent.  Now I cant wait until the next one.
Thanks to Beverly at how sweet the sound for hosting pink Saturday
