Welcome

Welcome to my newest blog. What is a kimberline you ask? Well where I live in Portland, Dorset, it is a nickname given to newcomers to the Island. Yes Portland is an Island seperated from Weymouth by a causeway. Its part of the Jurassic coast and I love living here. I will be posting lots of different things I hope you enjoy visiting here. Hi Everyone

Here is my entry for this month Challenge over at our challenge blog The Game every month we have two challenges and this is my Design Team Inspiration Card.  The game focused on this month is Punch Buggy, now this is a new one on me I have not heard of this game before.  We had to embellish the image with lots of colours.  So we had an image given to us which is the image on the card being sponsored for us by June at DEZINAWORLD.  June will be donating collage images and or GC for 10$ -$15 for the winner. YEA!!

The image below is the beautiful image from June of an old fashioned car

To make this card I used Eyelet lace I am roses flowers a dragonfly charm a stick pin I made.  A focal bead a glass flower, a pearl flower and a Tim Holtz ticket with Live on it.  Blue and yellow lace.

Dont forget we are always looking for entrents to play along with us.  You can even win a prize if you are lucky.

What have I been up too?

Hi everyone

Well what have I been up to lately?  Its been a mixed bag of events for us.  We had a surprise birthday party up by where I used to live and we took the caravan and made a weekend of it.  It was good fun seeing people we hadnt seen in a while and catching up.

It was Steve's birthday he didn't know a thing about the party it was a good night.

Some close friends of ours got married.  Glen is Scottish so he wore his clan tartan kilt outfit and his best man wore the blackwatch kilt outfit.  Mandy looked so beautiful.  it was indeed a day of oddities though.  They had a beautiful blessing in Glens local area which we helped set up and drive people up as it was up a big hill.

then on the way to reception we had the bikes involved Rusty rode his new wife on a trike which was led by the vicar (the very vicar that married us) its a long story but they wanted our vicar to help the ceremony with their vicar.  Reverend Fionn Mckentie was up for riding Rusty own bike leading the parade in his full dog collar outfit

Something you don't see everyday hey!

then we had a bike rally and we stayed on for a week and made it our holiday.  We didn't take the bike but used the car as it was too long a journey for me sitting on the back of my hubby.  We went to see The Eden Project and the lost gardens of heligan, Polperro and Charlestown where the tall ships are.  We were lucky with the weather and had a fabulous time that was until I got a phone call saying mum was in hospital after having an epileptic fit.  She is absolutely fine now and recovered but what a drama it all was.

So we have been busy but its all been fun and I though I am nursing a bad cough and cold I am glad of the quiet of home and getting some crafting done.  Watch out for a few you tube video's coming up soon.
