Welcome

Welcome to my newest blog. What is a kimberline you ask? Well where I live in Portland, Dorset, it is a nickname given to newcomers to the Island. Yes Portland is an Island seperated from Weymouth by a causeway. Its part of the Jurassic coast and I love living here. I will be posting lots of different things I hope you enjoy visiting here. Butterflies galore

Hi everyone.  Well I have had a wonderful weekend.  We drove up to Surry to the RHS Wisley Gardens near London to see the butterflies they have in their glass house.  The drive was nearly 3 hours but we had a lovely day and it was so worth it.  After we got over the trauma of trying to find a car parking space which took nearly twenty minutes, we decided to eat first as it was lunchtime already.  Then we walked around the gardens to the glass house and it was amazing.  IT was so big.  It was just like being in the tropics and the plants were wonderful.  SO many.
Here are some of the highlights of what we were amazed by, even Rob was struck by the place.

I hope everyone who celebrates valentines day has a wonderful time.  Us, we are having a quiet evening in with a bottle of wine after having a peaceful day.  It was nice having Rob at home for the day as it is our first valentines day as a married couple.

Wonderful day, worthy of envy :) You made wonderful pictures of the butterflies, its amazing how we can see such wonders in our neighbourhod instead of going all the way to the tropics! Of course, as with us all.. PARKING had to cut at least 20 minutes out of any happy day :P

Thanks for posting this, and have a sweet Valentines day!
