Welcome

Welcome to my newest blog. What is a kimberline you ask? Well where I live in Portland, Dorset, it is a nickname given to newcomers to the Island. Yes Portland is an Island seperated from Weymouth by a causeway. Its part of the Jurassic coast and I love living here. I will be posting lots of different things I hope you enjoy visiting here. Hugs Sara

Where women create post

Hi everyone.

For the first time I am taking part in the where women create blog roll.  Last year I got my own crafting space when we redid our spare room.  I absolutely love it.  Its not the hugest space in the world but it means so much that come 5.00pm I dont have to start putting away all the stuff I got out to craft with and that when hubby comes home I can down tools and leave it overnight if I want to.  We also get to eat on the kitchen table now.

My most recent makes.  I love using beads and lace

Not the most tidyest but I know exactly where everything is.  I am making little hangable lavender bags at the moment.  They have lace, f
lowers, charms, ribbon on them.  You can hang them anywhere you want and they smell pretty good too.

All my paints and paper.  You can never have too many, though if I buy anymore I will need another house.

Beads and buttons are a few of my favourite things.

the lavender bags.  Yet to be filled up with lavender.  That is dried and ready to go in
just gotta find the time to do it.

more stuff and a couple of books when I feel like reading.  Inkheart, and I forget the other one.

ooooooooooooooooh lovely chandellier prisms from Ebay.

Im going into a trance.  I could spend hours looking at beads and imagining what I could do with them
My bank balance is looking a bit light though right now.  I'll have to be content with what I already have.

The sea view I have for inspiration when I create.  Living by the sea is wonderful.  So many different moods.  Living in Portland, Dorset UK is a never ending source of inspiration.  I love nature.  The raw essence of the sea and how changeable it is keeps my ideas on the move.  The trouble is my brain cant always keep up.  I write ideas down sometimes.

The elements are always changing.  IT can be sunny out front and raining out back here.  And the wind, dont get me started on the wind.  All inspiration sources though.  I love to use nature in my art. from flowers to sea creatures.

YAY YOU for getting your own space. I used to be in the master bedroom in our old apartment. I totally get the whole not having to clean up at 5 when the man comes home. :) It must be wonderful living near the sea. Lucky ducky! Looking forward to seeing what you do with those beautiful crystals.

ps: Thank you so much for following my blog - what a wonderful surprise. I deeply appreciated your comment. Many times after I complete a big project I feel a let down, but your "brilliant" comment picked me right back up and reminded me those feelings are plain old stupid! :) HUGS!

I agree 100%! I have crafted and made art all over my house in different stages of our life and the thing I love most about having a room of my own is the freedom to make a mess and just walk away until next time. Love. Love. Love.

Oh what a wonderful studio. SO glad you got your wonderful creative space to make your magic. Love your lavender bags and mermaid is darling.
How wonderful to live by the sea and have that view for inspiration.
I would love that. Well, I can look out over a pool, but maybe that does not count.
I have created in all kinds of places over the years, from the kitchen table to the basement and now my third car garage.
Isn't it great to make a mess and be able to leave it if you choose.

Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment.
Hugs from Texas, Celestina Marie
