My Garden is Alive
I am so relieved. I looked at my garden the other weekend and thought, hmmm where are all my spring bulbs. Normally they are at least shooting by now. Especially the snowdrops. So off to the garden centre I went to get some potted bulbs that were shooting up already. I had to wait til today to plant them. WIth one reason or another I didnt get time until this morning. Armed with new bulbs and a trowl I set to work. I was thrilled to find that my excisisting bulbs are still there and shooting up nicely. They had been hiding, waiting for me to discover their magic. I am not sorry I brought the other bulbs though. After the loss of my beloved lavender tree/bush, that had gotten destroyed in the recent winds we have been having, I was worried about the rest of the garden. It was so very sad to see the lavender gone, but has opened that space up for new opportunities. I have brought some Jasmine, I am planning to put that there instead. We will see.
