I am a bit late posting my pink Saturday birthday post. I am having a giveaway. You have until next Saturday to enter then I will announce the winner on my Pink Saturday post. I have found some lovely goodies for you

Living by the sea is a great source of inspiration for me. The seaview from my kitchen window is never the same twice. Boats and ships passing by and calm and rough seas provide hours of entertainment. We have a few fabulous coastal walks by us and the one to Portland Bill lighthouse is one of my favourites. Last time we were there there was a anchor wreath. It was sad to see but in the other hand it made me want to go home and create. As a shell collector I love being by the sea though there arent many shells on our rocky jurassic shores. I have to sometimes buy them . The seagulls are common here and this time of the year they are nesting and fighting each other for female attention. Some of the fights I have seen are quite something.
Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.
The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents, beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.
The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.
